Family Care Center is Hiring a Learning and Development Specialist Near Lone Tree, CO

Position Summary: The Learning and Development Specialist will create, develop, implement, and conduct training and development programs for employees. Responsible for the design, development, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of programs that build employee competencies to enable the individual, department, and the organization to improve effectiveness. Works collaboratively across the organization in partnership with leadership to ensure learning and development needs are aligned with and support organizational strategies, FCC Culture, provide continuous improvement and works to improve leadership capabilities at all levels of the organization.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Creates, organizes, plans, and facilitates various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills training for employees using a variety of media.
  • Manages and maintains the Family Care Center (FCC) University online platform content and reporting.
  • Select and assign instructors to conduct specific training and development both internally and externally.
  • Assesses training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with staff and leadership.
  • Develops unique training programs to fulfill FCC specific needs to learn, maintain, or improve job skills.
  • In partnership with department leadership, creates and/or acquires training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials and monitors placement in FCC University platform.
  • Maintains records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements in FCC University online platform and distributes appropriately to leadership and the executive team.
  • Evaluates program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback. Assesses training materials prepared by instructors.
  • Prepares and implements training budget; maintains records and reports of expenses.
  • Maintains knowledge of the latest trends in training and development.
Other Duties:
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory or Managerial Responsibility: None

Travel: local travel to Family Care Center clinic locations in Denver and Colorado Springs.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Be available to work as scheduled and report to work on time.
  • Be willing to accept supervision and work well with others.
  • Drives “Five Star” clinic performance.
  • Be in compliance with all organizational policies, the Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct, FCC Way and required annual training.
  • Fosters an inclusive workplace where diversity and individual differences are valued and leveraged to achieve the vision and mission of the organization.
  • Adheres to safe working practices and always follows all organizational safety policies and procedures.
  • If applicable, wears appropriate PPE as outlined by relevant policy and procedures.
  • Demonstrates compliance with all state, federal and all other regulatory agency requirements.
  • Ensure strict confidentiality of all medical records, PHI, and PII.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Training and Development, or a related field required.
  • Two years of training experience required.
  • ATD certification preferred.

Work Environment and Conditions:

  • Continually required to sit; continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity; continually required to talk or hear.
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move more than 15 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception and ability to adjust or focus.

Compensation & Benefits:

Annual Salary Range: $62,000 -$70,000

Family Care Center offers competitive compensation and benefits packages with the ability to also maintain work-life balance. Full time employees are eligible for 401k, vision, dental, medical, life, and employee wellness and discount plans.
